Autocracy: When one person holds all the power. feudal system
The feudal system: was a way of organising society into different groups based on their roles. It had the king at the top with all of the control, and the peasants at the bottom doing all of the work.
Kulaks: Wealthier landowning peasants.
Okhrana: The Tsar of Russia's security police 1881-1917.
Pogroms:The organised persecution (including murder) of ethnic or religious group, for example in Eastern Europe in the 1880s against Jews.
Serf: Peasants who owned no land and worked for food and shelter.
Serfdom:The social position of most peasants who were controlled by their lord.
Tsarevitch: A son of a Russian tsar, particularly the eldest son.
